When I first started on my creative journey, ATCs were one of the first projects I tried out. Since they are only 2.5" by 3.5", I was able to actually complete a whole piece of art while my daughter (a newborn at the time) took a nap. Art saved my sanity on many days during those early years of motherhood. Being a stay-at-home mom to an infant was probably the loneliest days of my life so far. I was isolated with only a baby to talk to for hours on end. Then I discovered the rich and supportive online community of art bloggers and I suddenly didn't feel so alone. I would do ATCs swaps and have a little bit of joy waiting for me in my mailbox when the swap packages arrived. (The photo above features the first ATCs I ever did for a swap back in January 2007!)

Wow! great RAK! Thank you so much for this post... I have JUST started thinking about artist trading cards. Are they easy? hard? in between? I'm an avid scrapper, but haven't stretched my abilities into the kinda rustic, antique stuff. I'd like to, but I don't know how to start. As for ARTchix... I absolutly LOVE their collage sheets... Don't have any yet... Suppose they would help me boost my ATC mojo??

Hi Laura, What a great set of goodies! My favorite is the German scrap. I sometimes feel like something is missing and I grab my scrap. It usually is just what it needed and makes my artwork POP!

ok - I'm new to KatyDid designs site/blog - and ATC's - WOW. Also a bit embarrassed to say that despite being a craft-a-holic - have never seen or heard of ATC's! That means, I have so much more to explore and learn and do. There is a whole new world to venture to. Some new fun!!! yeah!

The Valentine's stuff is always wonderful for me.. The silver items are very appealing..

I have died and gone to heaven. I didn't know about ARTchix until a few minutes ago but oh my, oh my! I absolutely love everything there. I have the urge to collage and decoupage anything I can get my hands on. I would have to say my favorite items would be the Art Bits because of all the different items in that category. They have an unusual unique twist to everything and I absolutely love it!
I buy a lot of my art supplies from Artchix. Helga always has the best collage sheets! Also love the transparencies and german scrap!
My favorite archix are divas,frida khalo,mermaids,and the spoil me flapper lady,have used her in jewellery cards and collages.Karen from the uk.
I have never used this brand before so I don't have a fav, but am up to finding a fav if I win! lol...does that count?

I love using the photo charms and frames. And I love Frida Kahlo. I haven't had the chance to use much more than that, but I'm really hoping to be able to try some of their stuff out if I win! I like supporting businesses like this one instead of mass produced places.

It is impossible to pick a favorite ARTchix supply, but the collage sheets and the variety of German scrap Helga has can't be beat! Love all of her "stuff"!

I have enjoyed ArtChix for a long time and picking one thing is awfully hard...however, I absolutely ADORE their transparencies....they are the collage sheets printed on transparencies. I LOVE THEM! I use them on everything!! ALSO, I adore the dream boxes...and.....you get the picture! LOL!

I have to say that my favorite ARTChix product (as if I could only pick one!), is the Amazing Archways and Door to Door collage sheets. I am waiting for my very first ARTChix order to come which includes a Door to Door collage sheet. I love the fact that they are real phots of archways and doors in romantic cities of Paris and Florence. I cannot think of a better way to start an altered work of art with some of the many beautiful and one of a kind products from ARTChix. They are my new favorite place to shop. I have to add one more thing about my first experience to the website. I recently was given a two year subscription to Sommerset Studio magazine, where I found the ARTChix website and my first few images of what they offered. So already I was excited to see what awaited me. I cannot put into words the joy I felt when I saw the homepage. As I continued through each page I squealed with delight and awe and wonderment and of course wanted to buy one of everything available. Well, I really love the idea of showing a raw product and then to show it finished by one of the many fans/customers of the website and then to have comments from such obviously satisfied customers is really a great way to do the website and I just knew that I was home.
OMG!!! I just realized that the picture of the kitty in the blog is the same one I have seen with the party hats from ARTChix. Oh my. How awesome is that. I love kitties and I love to see them a part of the business. That just occured to me that I have seen an ad before. Well, I am a forever customer now and am watching the door like a hawk for my first of many, many orders.

WELL......Who does not love everything about ARTchix
and their products. I think one of my favorites are the
ATC's. I can collage my little heart out and there sure are a lot of collages to choose from. Then there is the sharing with the other Chixes and their ATC's. It's all so heart warming to be involved with all the talented ladies. Helga and family are wonderful and very smart

I'm adding my voice in agreement that there is so much to love about Helga's selection of goodies at Artchix Studio and it IS practically impossible to single one favorite item out (and cruel to ask it of a person, to boot!)...if I had to do it anyway, the first thing that comes to my mind are the great frames and optical lenses! Love them!
My favorite things from ArtChix is the milagros. I hope there will be more of them to choose from in the future. It is always so exciting to get my packages in the mail. Like a birthday party in a box!!!
