cupcake card designs

Maybe it's just me, but I'm super excited about the new line of note cards I'm designing. My Photoshop practicing is finally starting to pay off & I'm exploring the idea of using my photos in my card designs. What do you think?

My only issue is finding the best way to get them printed. I used to do it in-house, but I'm thinking the photos need a professional job & I'm afraid to order in large quantities. Any suggestions? Or do I need to think positive and get a bunch printed? Should they be note cards or postcards? Geesh! I've got a lot of questions today. I guess I'm making you work for your eye candy today!

Love them. Did you bake them too? Would go with the notecards if I had to pick one. Could do a cut out in the envelope or something with it too. To give a card with a gift etc than a post card.
good luck with printing. Maybe moocards or snapfish?

Laura..
SUPER great and clever idea..
have you checked sources for printings versus costs of doing it yourself?
Personally, I would try perhaps like one of the companies who print seasonal cards from your designs, including envelopes for starters..like maybe Walgreen's or Target..their cost is really inexpensive..
I think both post and note cards are great ideas..
I think I'll do a few of my own to include as stocking stuffer's at Christmas..
Let us know your decision!!

If you have a laser printer, then definitely start by printing your notecards yourself. Otherwise, I would say a bit of research is in order. Do you want to mount the photos on the cards? If so, you could use any of the vast array of photo services. Actually, you might be able to afford that for printing directly on the notecards!

Definitely look into mass production, but don't go for it until you start to build up sales. Otherwise, you won't enjoy your sales because all you'll be able to think about is how many more you need to sell!

That's my 10 cents. If you'd like to send me a cupcake as reward, let me know and I'll give you my address!

Good luck.

beautiful pictures!!! I would go with notecards,
an option that came to mind just to start printing a few.. try making two images fit in a 4 by 6 then print at a walmart or walgreens and see if you like it

that my cent!

and wishing you lots of success

Laura,

I have had cards printed at my local Post Net store. They do small quantities, you pick the paper and the cost is not bad.

If you don't have Post Net try FedEx or UPS stores.

Love the pictures...they would be great printed directly on the cards.

I think I would go with postcards AND notecards - there are different uses for each.

There are lots of cool ways to get small quantities done for a pretty good deal tho I would look for the 'break points' say that 99ea costs you 10 cents per yet 100 or more brings the cost down to 5 cents per, stuff like that.

I know of some ways, blanking on it now so I'll do some thinking and get back to you.

Have fun!

Love them. I like postcards myself. So easy to just pick up and send a quick note to someone you love. I also like to mount them in a frame.

Hi Laura! The cards are cute. I would print them through Vistaprint. They are very quick, professional and reasonable.
